Parution : « Private Philanthropy for Development. Taking Stock of Philanthropy’s Contribution to Development »OECD

Private philanthropy plays an increasingly important role in financing sustainable development, alongside official development assistance (ODA) and private investment.
While it supports a broad range of development priorities, philanthropic funding remains concentrated in a limited set of regions, sectors and international actors. At the same time, domestic philanthropy in middle-income countries is expanding, but unevenly.
Philanthropy offers significant flexibility and catalytic potential, yet its delivery models, partnerships and approaches to monitoring and evaluation continue to shape the scale and reach of its development impact.
